Field Vegetable Production Manager Position

Greens, Eggs & Ham Full Time Salaried position of Field Vegetable Production Manager.

You will be working with and reporting to Andreas and to Mary Ellen Grueneberg.

This is a professional position with responsibility for all aspects of our field production.

The position includes all of the day to day activities of production, harvesting, processing, preparation for market etc, as well as production planning, research and implementation of techniques to improve production efficiency, up to date record keeping and administration to allow the business to reach its market potential. Continuing education and self-improvement will be important aspects of the position. Remembering that this is a professional position, we expect professionalism when dealing with our family, customers, visitors and other employees. Furthermore, when you are away from work, you are always directly or indirectly representing Greens, Eggs & Ham.

Because of the small size of our business and the diversified scope of its operations, you will be required from time to time to assist with other aspects of the operation outside of the scope of your job title. When field production and harvesting ends for the season, you will be heavily involved with our greenhouse operation.

We anticipate that the production season will be very intense, with little free time, but that the fall and winter season will be much slower and allow for more flexible hours.

Experience in small land base, hands on vegetable production as well as free range outdoor fowl productoin are necessary.

Due to the nature of our business, should you decide to end your employment with Greens, Eggs & Ham, we ask that you complete the season and allow us sufficient time to find a suitable replacement.
